EKU Danville Offers OSHA Class on Emergency Planning

EKU’s Center for Career and Workforce Development offered a free class on “Evacuation and Emergency Planning” at the EKU Danville Campus on November 17.

Participants from Toyota Manufacturing, Kentucky School for the Deaf, Somerset Schools, Christian Appalachian Project, and EKU Danville attended the four-hour training, which was made possible by a grant from EKU’s Center for Appalachian Regional Engagement and Stewardship (CARES) Office.

The instructor, David Bastin, expertly covered emergency planning, maintaining exit routes, and surviving active shooters in the workplace.

For additional information on future OSHA training, please contact EKU’s OSHA Training Institute Education Center at osha.eku.edu or call 859-622-2961.
